Cat Lunch

If you think that I have the lady of the house under my furry paw, just check this out.

What do you mean you aren't having tuna fish for lunch? I want tuna.

I'm sure that there is tuna around here somewhere...

If I can just find it.

So what are we having for lunch?

Lunch time is best shared.

Now that's what I call a purry okay lunch!

Sarah Annabelle

I first laid eyes on Sarah Annabelle at an animal shelter where I had gone to drop off newspapers- not a smart thing to do for anyone who has a soft heart for animals. I immediately noticed a long-haired calico cat curled up sound asleep on the highest perch in a large walk-in wire cage while zillions of other homeless cats in all sizes and colors yowling loudly below her. I was instantly intrigued. Getting permission I entered the large pen and slowly made my way through a swarming mass of fur balls that climbed and howled for my attention to the spot where this queen cat snoozed. Reaching out I softly touched her fur. Sarah Annabelle yawned widely, stretched out her long legs, and slowly rolled over. The instant our eyes met I knew that I had to adopt this older cat. She would make a perfect mother to the wild kitten my sister had recently given me. I decided to change her name from Sarah to Annabelle, but when I took this loveable cat home I started calling her Sarah Annabelle to ease the transition of a strange household by using her first given name and somehow along the way Sarah Annabelle she became.

Elsie Mae

Elsie Mae came to me via my niece, Stacy, (who had gotten her as a kitten) when she came East to stay with her Mum for a couple of months and then visited me. As much as Stacy loved her cat, Elsie Mae, was not adjusting well to military life in the Air Force with all its moves and upheavals.
Now that Elsie Mae is a Tennessee Mountain cat, she has made a definite place for herself in our family with her outgoing personality. It didn't take Elsie Mae long to claim every room in the house. Even our dog, Lucy Lou, didn't deter her. Any visitor to our house has Elsie Mae checking them out and making herself known. Just let me sit down and relax with my nose in a book and Elsie Mae will unexpectedly race across my chest like a cat freeway. Life has definitely picked up in pace since Elsie Mae came to live with us.
