Helping With Thanksgiving Dinner

Hmm. It looks like they are going to have mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner.

Hey you! Need some help?

It doesn't look all that hard to make mashed potatoes.

Hey, I'm talking to you. Pay attention!

Let me help. I can make beautiful mashed potatoes.

My four paws could mash the potatoes and make them nice and soft.

What do you mean, you don't need my help?

Just be that way then. You wouldn't believe how nice and fluffy those mashed potatoes would be with some of my fur.

Trick or Treat

So where is the treat supposed to be?
I don't see any cat treat near my whiskers.
Just probably a trick.

Meanwhile I'll get my catty self a drink.

Did I hear the sound of treats rattling around in a bottle?

Yes, there they are. I knew I heard my cat treats.

You can't fool an old cat like me.

Now where did that crazy human put my cat treats again?

All this nonsense is just a trick.

Oh well. I'll just rest my feet and wait her out.

Humans take such funny notions in their heads.

So that's where my cat treats went to!

I knew they were around here somewhere.

Making An Apple Pie

My Mistress is so particular. Every time she goes to do anything on the kitchen counter she shoos me off. I only want to help.

I know that I could make an apple pie as good as her if only she would let me help. You'd be surprised at how nicely I could pat out that ball of dough with my four feet.

Instead, despite my intelligence, I am reduced to sitting on a stool and watching her.

This is my pouty, poor-kitty look, which I'm showing my Mistress to see if she will have a change of heart.

I won't touch your precious jars- promise!

See there is plenty of room on this counter for me to sit here and you work too.

I told you I could make an apple pie, didn't I?

Cat Lunch

If you think that I have the lady of the house under my furry paw, just check this out.

What do you mean you aren't having tuna fish for lunch? I want tuna.

I'm sure that there is tuna around here somewhere...

If I can just find it.

So what are we having for lunch?

Lunch time is best shared.

Now that's what I call a purry okay lunch!

Canning apples with Sarah Annabelle

I decided to make and can apple pie filling one morning. Guess who was out in the kitchen perched on the counter big as life ready to help me?

Is that water in that bowl? Only a closer look will do...

Yikes... Oh, no! There goes my nice big water bowl!!!

Nosey is my middle name.

I'm sure that this will taste good. Ugh! Lemon juice???

What are these speckled green balls? A new cat toy?

Did somebody mention the word work? It's time for my cat nap.

Who needs a recipe?

Jar rings and lids crowding my space...

and apples. What next?

If you think I'm going anywhere dream on...

I'm here to stay.

On second thought this old yellow towel makes a perfect bed.

Now who went and sat those jars on my yellow towel?

Hmm. Another perfect spot for a cat nap.
I'm sure that I could squeeze my furry body into this space.

Canner Water Dish

Canner Water Dish
Dorcas Annette Walker

First thing this morning started I discovered Sarah Annabelle checking out the canner that I had left sitting on the stove.

Then she inched in for a closer look...

Now checking to see if there really was water down in the canner...

Uh oh, what was that?

Get away you crazy dog! Can't you see I'm busy?

Now where was I? Oh, yes, water.

Boy am I ever thirsty!

Just one sip...

A quick check to see if everything is clear.

Then down I go...

Stretching out my furry neck to reach the water...

At last... The perfect water dish!

Wonder if I should try a body bath while I'm at it?
